The results are in! The 7th Annual Stache Salt Moustache Competition winner has been crowned.

Stache Salt started the competition years ago as a way to promote not only their products but also mental health and awareness. It's in conjunction with No Shave November, which promotes men's health and encourages men to let their facial hair grow.

Mr. War Pipe was the winner. His name is Greg White and he's a firefighter from the Cloquet Fire Department in Northern Minnesota.

People could go to the website and vote on their favorite mustache competitor. The competitors had to complete judges' challenges throughout the competition, like this final challenge Greg completed in late November.

Votes were tallied on December 6th, crowing Greg the winner. Congrats!

Have you ever noticed why firefighters rock a mustache and not a full beard? That's because a beard would get in the way of their masks and respirators when they are responding to a fire.

We asked Greg about how he had grown his mustache and how it had all begun. He told us that it's tradition that after you make it through your first year as a firefighter you can then begin to grow a mustache. Greg grew his out and then started to wax it with his Salt Stache products and he was encouraged to keep the style by his fellow firefighters.

Congratulations, Greg! Keep that mustache going! We'll see you next year.

LOOKS: Things you'd likely see in an awesomely '80s garage

From scandalous bikini calendars to your dad's AMC Gremlin, '80s garages were a treasure trove of adventure, good fun, and sometimes downright danger.
