Unless you have a yacht, it may be hard to social distance on the water, so the Minnesota DNR has some tips.

The Minnesota DNR posted some helpful tips on how to get out and enjoy the water and help slow the spread of COVID-19. Here is what the recommended:

  • Stay Close to Home
  • Plan ahead. Get fuel and pack enough water and food for the day
  • Boat with only those in your household
  • Practice social distancing at the docks
  • No rafting or tying boats - maintain distance on the water

They are also reminding the public to always wear a life jacket on the water. With these tips you should be able to get out and enjoy our amazing Northland lakes this summer.
