The Minneapolis Health Department wanted to remind everyone that it's norovirus season and everyone needs to take precautions.  They offered tips and a great graphic.

According to StarTribune.com, the above graphic was was included in an e-mail sent by the health department and it's causing a lot of conversation.

As someone who has had the unfortunate experience of being exposed to the norovirus, I can say that the graphic is very accurate.  It would also make a great logo for one of my fantasy football teams.

Norovirus is very contagious, easily floating through the air and settling on surfaces.  The Minneapolis Health Department says the most effective way to prevent the spread of norovirus is to wash your hands with warm soapy water for 20 seconds:

  • Before working with food.
  • After handling raw animal products.
  • After using the bathroom.
  • After any activity that contaminates the hands.
  • Wash your hands more often when someone in your household is sick.
