Championship Sunday at the Benna Ford Roush Superior Watercross Shootout saw local racer "Magic" Mike Simmons claiming first place in one of the big events of the weekend. The Superior transplant won top honors in the semi-pro open class, marking the first time he has won top honors right in front of his home crowd.

Simmons, who drives the #121 Ski Doo, runs multiple events in IWA racing. Beside the semi-pro open class, which is what he won in this weekend, he also races in modified drag and and pro stock class events. Mike shared his thoughts after the race about the weekend and winning in front of a hometown crowd.
