Meet Kendall Thudin from Proctor, MN.   She was one of 1, 500 model hopefuls when the maurices Main Street Model competition began.  Then, after public voting,  there were 100, and Kendall was still in the running.  Kendall has crossed another bridge and is now one of 20 women that will have their final round of competition in Minneapolis.  Kendall's dream is to keep her father's memory and legacy remembered in the City of Proctor.  Here is her story and what lies ahead.  Best of luck  from the Northland, Kendall!

Meet:   Kendall Thudin




Kendall will compete to be among 12 women chosen to model for maurices, a national women’s clothing retailer, in upcoming fashion campaigns. The winners will each receive a photo shoot at an iconic fashion shoot destination and national exposure at maurices locations,, and through mailers and social media. They will also be awarded a $1,500 maurices gift card and a $7,500 charitable makeover for a nonprofit in their hometown.

The contest, which is in its second year, drew more than 1,400 contestants from across the country. Women entered at, and online voters narrowed the search to 100. maurices then chose the 20 finalists to attend a casting call in Minneapolis, Minn., the week of April 16.

“This contest is about finding real women in all sizes to represent the maurices brand,” said Brad Hartmann, maurices vice president of marketing. “We had around three times more submissions and online voters than last year, and we look forward to moving into the final stage of the search with the same increased excitement.”

The casting call will include interviews, hair and makeup sessions, and test photos. A judging panel from maurices, including celebrity judge and maurices designer Christopher Straub from Lifetime’s Project Runway, will select the 12 winners, who will be announced at on April 23.
