Wisconsin City Named One Of Happiest In The U.S.
Well, this is great news. In honor of International Day Of Happiness next week, a new study dropped naming the happiest cities in the country.
The study was released on Tuesday (March 11th) by WalletHub and this study came with quite a fun surprise - one Wisconsin city was named one of the happiest in the U.S.
For some context, this list is comprised of the 180 largest cities in the country, so smaller cities like our own weren't even considered.
To rank these cities, WalletHub analysts looked at a ton of different factors, including depression rates, how many people are getting enough sleep at night, hours worked, income growth and more.
Wisconsin City Makes The Top Ten
It's time to celebrate, Wisconsin! Madison was named one of the happiest cities in the country, coming in at number seven on this list. That's pretty impressive!

This is a far cry from Milwaukee, who came in closer to the bottom of the list as the 131st happiest city in America. That is not ideal but thankfully, Madison isn't too far away. Ha!
What About Minnesota?
Some Minnesota cities did pretty well here, too! Minneapolis came in at number 34, which is pretty good considering this study considered nearly 200 different cities. As for St. Paul, the city cracked the top 100, coming in at number 78.

If you want to be in the happiest cities, you'll have to head to California. The top three happiest cities in the country are from that sunny state, with Fremont coming in at number one.
Sioux Falls actually came in at number four, which is a bit surprising! If you want a little happiness, a road trip might be in your future.
