The McKee Foods corporation has issued a voluntary recall of one of their popular snack items.  According to details released by the United States Food and Drug Administration, a variety of cases of Little Debbie Mini Nutty Buddy Cookie Bites Sandwich Cookies is being recalled due to an allergen concern.

At issue is the concern that some of these products may contain undeclared pecans, which poses a problem to people with allergies and severe sensitivities.  People who have an allergy to pecans run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.  At the present time, no serious illnesses have been reported.

McKee Foods started the recall effort after they discovered pecans in the product, when the labeling does not include the fact that there are tree nuts as an ingredient. An internal investigation determined the source of the problem:  a "temporary breakdown in the production processes of the contract manufacturer that makes and packages the product for McKee Foods".

Little Debbie Mini Nutty Buddy Mini Cookie Bites Sandwich Cookies are sold in retail stores in individual bags with a product weight of 2.6 ounces.  The only products covered by this voluntary recall notice have best-by dates of December 24 and December 25, 2021.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
