This is really scary stuff as I personally know two people that have been affected by it.   It's the Alpha Gal allergy that comes from a bite of a Lonestar Tick.  There are more cases popping up in the Northland, and it is really a life changing diagnosis.

The allergy causes serious allergic symptoms when those affected eat mammal meat.  In some cases it also applies to dairy products.  There's a website that's working on awareness and a cure.  It's worth a visit.  This video explains Alpha Gal in further detail.
