Good news for travelers from the Northland to the Twin Cities and vice versa, as another project appears to have been completed.

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, all lanes on Interstate 35 in Pine County have reopened as a major reconstruction project nears completion.

Motorists may encounter intermittent, single-lane closures on weekdays until the project is completed in late October. All lanes will remain open on weekends.

The finished project improves safety on the interstate and ramps, and includes accessibility improvements at the Kettle River Rest Area.

Safe travels!
