Lakewalk Trail Detour Planned for Today and Tomorrow Due to Utility Project

If you're planning on exploring the Lakewalk today or tomorrow, be prepared for a detour due to necessary utility work on the underground drainage system.

The City of Duluth will be doing the work on a segment of the Lakewalk between the restroom facilities (near the former Endion Station building) and the Fitger’s Complex.

As long as the weather cooperates, the city expects that portion of the Lakewalk to be closed today and tomorrow, April 12, between 8:00 am and 4:00 p.m.  Crews should be able to reopen the Lakewalk for evening hours.
