The speculation regarding the future of Kyle Rudolph with the Minnesota Vikings is over, and it couldn't have come at a better time.

The Vikings begin their three-day mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, June 11, and tight end Kyle Rudolph will not only be with the team, but he will likely remain with the team for the rest of his career.

NFL Nework's Tom Pelissero is reporting that the Vikings and Rudolph have agreed to terms on a four-year, $36 million extension, according to   He is expected to sign the deal Tuesday morning, prior to the start of the minicamp.

Kyle Rudolph confirmed an agreement had been reached though his Tuesday night tweet shared below.

Since last season ended, his rumored status with the team had ranged from trade bait to cap casualty.  The Vikings, however, have always publicly stated their desire to keep Rudolph as a member of the team.

Today, that desire became a reality.
