Josh Gracin, Katie Weir Wed in Nashville
Congratulations are in order for Josh Gracin: The singer-songwriter quietly wed his fiancee, Katie Weir, in Nashville on May 6.
According to People, Gracin and Weir, celebrated their nuptials at Green Door Gourmet -- "a great venue that had both the rustic look that I like and the more contemporary vibe that Katie likes," Gracin says. The pair decorated the venue with a white flowers and linens, a chandelier and silver decor, to fit Weir's "fine art-style wedding" vibe.
Gracin and Weir began dating in January of 2015, after meeting at Nashville's Tin Roof; they got engaged that October.
Gracin finished fourth on Season 2 of American Idol, which aired in 2003. After completing his time in the Marines in September of 2004, he signed with Lyric Street Records and released his self-titled debut record, which peaked on the charts at No. 2. The album’s second single, “Nothin’ to Lose,” hit No. 1, and the project’s other two singles placed in the Top 10. Gracin released a second album, We Weren’t Crazy, which also landed in the Top 10, in 2008, and Redemption in 2011.
In August of 2014, Gracin worried fans by posting an apparent suicide note on Facebook, apologizing to his wife for “mistakes” and asking his fans to “pray for my family as they carry on in this world without me.” He sought help and began creating new music while on the path to recovery, and is now working on an independent album.
This marriage is Gracin’s second. In March of 2015, his divorce from his wife of 17 years, Ann, was finalized. They have four children.
