This time of year, it’s not uncommon to see a pick-up truck with a riding lawnmower or a motorcycle loaded on the back. They’re heading to mow grass somewhere or left of a little steam with an off-road ride somewhere.

A key component to getting the grass mowed or hitting the trails is being able to get whatever you’re riding on and off the truck safely. Ramps are the key to being able to do that, and if you’ve got ramps you purchased from a Tractor Supply location, those ramps may have just been recalled.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says that the Traveller Aluminum Loading Ramps have been recalled because they can’t handle the weight of whatever you are loading on to your truck and they collapse.

There are three models of these ramps that are under the recall. The 3,000 lb.  12”x90” Aluminum Ramps, the 1,800 77” Straight Ramp and the 1,500 12”x84” Aluminum Street Arched Ramp all fall under the recall.

The ramps in question were designed to load lawnmowers, ATV’s and golf cars among other types of equipment.

What's The Problem?

Tractor Supply says they have received 35 complaints where the ramps either collapsed or broke completely. Two people sustained injuries to their knees and other parts of their bodies in this equipment failure.

If you own these ramps you are urged to stop using them immediately and either take them back to a Tractor Supply store for a full refund or email the company at customersolutions@tractorsupply.com. They’ll let you know how to take a picture of the ramps and get your full refund.
