Minnesota Woman Gets Drunk in Vegas, Lands on Popular TV Show
Everyone who's been to Las Vegas has a story to tell. Some are more entertaining than others. I ended up in the hospital after my trip to Sin City. I was there for New Year's Eve, and around midnight, they shut down the Strip so everyone could watch an amazing fireworks show.
After about 15 minutes, my claustrophobia kicked in, and I had to get out of the huge crowd. I jumped a fence in front of Caesar's Palace and tweaked my knee. By the time I got back to Minnesota, my knee was swollen and green, so I had to go to the ER.
My story isn't exciting; in fact, it's rather embarrassing. But one woman from Minnesota has an epic tale about her adventure in Vegas.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority reported 40.8 million visitors to Las Vegas in 2023. 2016 was the city's biggest year according to Travel Weekly when 42.9 million vacationed there.
There's plenty to do there, and you're sure to have a great time—hopefully as much fun as this woman did.
Minnesota Woman Gets Drunk in Vegas, Lands on Popular TV Show
Carrie called into our morning show and told us she went to Vegas with a friend to help chaperone that friend's son's 21st birthday party.
She admitted that the 21-year-old didn't need a babysitter, but the moms wanted to tag along for fun.
Carrie said the fun started at lunch at The Venitian. After a few drinks, the two moms were feeling good and left.
While walking around, they accidentally bumped into some people. They apologized and began making small talk, discovering that a popular TV show was filming on the casino floor.
They decided to check it out and "we're feeling pretty good" so they approached security to ask how to get on the set.
The guard explained there was an application process, but after a bit of sweet talking, he let them onto the set.
The director then came out and explained to the extras, including these two tipsy Minnesota women, what was expected for the shot.
Filming began and apparently, the moms were a little too rowdy because the director had to ask them to calm down.
Later they found out that there was a "one-second clip" of them with the other extras in the 2007 season finale of CSI. The episode is titled 'Living Dolls' and is available to stream on Paramount +.
