There was a big meat recall that was announced early last week but since then, the recall has continued to expand. Many stores across Minnesota are now affected by this recall, so make sure you check your fridge!

Big Meat Recall Across Minnesota and the US

The recall was issued by the company BrucePac, out of Woodburn, Oregon. They produce pre-cooked proteins like chicken, beef, pork, and turkey.

The original recall was for almost 10 million pounds, now it's up to 12 million pounds of pre-cooked proteins. It's all being recalled due to "detected listeria in samples of poultry during routine testing" according to KARE 11.

What Stores Are Affected by the BrucePac Recall

Stores in Minnesota that are impacted by this recall include Target, Walmart, Aldi, and Trader Joe's. Others across the country include 7-Eleven, Amazon Fresh, H-E-B, Giant Eagle, Raley's, Wegmans, Kroger, Publix, and Meijer.

If you purchase pre-cooked chicken at any of those stores, make sure you check your fridge.
