30% of Americans have been given the title "picky eater".  Some of us wear that as a badge of honor!  In fact, 65% of us blame our childhoods as the reason why we won't touch certain foods now.

Thankfully, some of those foods that were plopped on our plates have all but disappeared from the kitchen tables in Minnesota.

Popular Foods From Our Childhoods That No One In Minnesota Eats Now

Earlier today I was chatting with a co-worker about the foods we ate growing up.  Life was a lot different back then...and it wasn't all happy memories when it came to the items that were supposed to nourish our bodies.

In the 80s, goulash was the food that seemed to show up on our plates a bit too often.  "Hot dogs" were also a staple and showed up in macaroni and cheese, with beans, or was a stand alone meal.  Once us kids grew up a bit and learned that some of those were made with "unsavory" pieces, we wanted to hurl and ban that food from our home.

Hot dogs made with butt pieces and lips may not have shown up on the list below but I'm pretty sure you'll find a few other popular food items from our childhood that you are no longer devouring.

If you are one of the few that still eats any of the food above, don't worry, no one is going to try to steal a bite from you.
