Minnesota Man Dies from Fall in Tree Trimming Mishap
East Bethel, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Minnesota man has lost his life as the result of a fall during a tree trimming mishap.
That’s according to a news release issued Thursday morning by the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office. The deadly incident occurred on Tuesday.
The news release says deputies and first responders were dispatched to the report of a man who had fallen out of a tree around 3:40 p.m. at a rural property in East Bethel.
Emergency responders located the man shortly after arriving on the scene. They began administering life-saving measures but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The news release identifies him as 70-year-old Paul Eugene Malaske of East Bethel. The preliminary investigation indicates Malaske was on a ladder trimming tree branches when he fell to the ground.
He plummeted 20-30 feet, according to initial dispatch reports obtained by the website MN Crime.
The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office and Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the tragic incident.
