West St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has issued a statewide missing person alert for a man with dementia.

The alert says the West St. Paul Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in locating 62-year-old Willie Young. Officials say he left his home on foot Tuesday evening and has not returned. He suffers from early dementia and is considered to be an endangered missing person.

Young is described as black, 5 foot eight, 125 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair, and a beard. He was last seen wearing a Minnesota Twin sweatshirt and black pants.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts or information that could be useful to investigators is asked to call 911 or the Dakota County Emergency Communication Center at 651-322-2323.
