ValleyScare in Shakopee is BACK! Tickets On Sale Now
If you are looking for something different to do for this coming Halloween, maybe think about making a trip to Shakopee, Minnesota. ValleyScare is Back, and the tickets are on sale now!
ValleyScare runs select weekends from September 21st through October 26th. You can see the hours and days that the event is taking place at Valleyfair.
There is something for everyone during the event. There are several haunted mazes to take part in. All of them with a different theme. You can choose what type of "scare" you would like. They vary from Blood on the Boundary Waters to Undertakers in a mortuary, to weird Mr Cleaver and more!
There are areas called "scare zones" where there is a theme for an area, but not necessarily a maze to wander through.
ENTERTAINMENT
This is cool too. There are several types of entertainment to choose from including music of several types, and stand up entertainment which may or may not include clowns. Just beware. Or if you want to dance the night away with some of the possible undead, that's an option as well with ValleyScare's Raveyard.
Since security is something that is of a concern at some of these types of events, Valleyfair will be taking extra steps to ensure the safety of everyone.
From their press release:
Guests should be aware of our existing chaperone policy including specific date changes when the chaperone to guest ratio is modified.
Bag Policy: Clear plastic bags smaller than 12” x 12” x 6” as well as non-clear wristlets or clutches no larger than 5”x 8”x 2” are allowed during ValleyScare. All bags are subject to search prior to entry.
Details on these, as well as costumed attire policies, can all be found on our Code of Conduct page
If you have "littles" that would enjoy a more tame version of Halloween with lots of treats, Valleyfair is offering that as well. They will run a special Tricks and Treats event during the day on Saturdays and Sundays from September 28th through October 27th. You can get more information on Valleyfair's website.
Tickets are on sale now and range from $39.99 to $60 for a fast pass type ticket. Get your tickets here on their website.
