Alright, so the first headline that I read on this subject today was that someone had found that dunking, yes, dunking your pizza into water is the best way to reheat the slice or slices.  That not only seems gross and unsanitary, but also sounds like your piece of pizza is going to be completely soggy.  Yuck.

This was coming from a woman on Tik Tok, so I went to Tik Tok to see what the heck she was talking about, and then I found this guy.  This sounds much better than the "dunking" method.

Now, I am a person who doesn't care about a crust being crispy or not.  I have always just reheated pizza in the microwave.  But, with that said, the microwave is not at all fool proof.  The slice will come out generally with some spots that are still kind of cold, and other areas which are more like molten lava.  Or, just eat it cold from the night prior.

IS THIS A BETTER METHOD?

What the guy in the Tik Tok video above does seems much better.  Steam.  That is the correct answer.  Or, there is always the option to just use the air fryer.  Some people put tin foil around the slice before using the air fryer method.  Then wonder why the crust didn't crisp up.  It comes from how an air fryer works.  It moves air all around the slice in the fryer.  If it's covered by tin foil, obviously that isn't going to work.

DOES THIS REALLY MATTER IN THE LONG RUN?

If you are really that particular about how your pizza is going to turn out after reheating the thing, then maybe use the air fryer method, or the steam method in the microwave.  Me - I'll probably just stick to the uneven heating or just eat it cold.
Happy left over pizza!
