Vince Gill is a living legend in country music. After some brief stints in bands throughout his teens and 20s, Gill started his solo career in Nashville in the early 1980s.

He started playing the guitar at a very early age, as his father, who was was a lawyer and administrative law judge, played in a band part-time and encouraged Gill to get into music. In 1967, Gill's dad got him his very first guitar, which the country star still has to this day.

To date, Gill has recorded more than 20 studio albums, charted more than 40 singles and sold more than 26 million albums. Twenty-two Grammys later, Gill still plays live and is out there almost as much as he once was in the prime of his career.
