Kane Brown Teases Extremely Emotional Song About His Kids [Watch]
When Kane Brown was honored with the Country Champion Award at the People's Choice Country Awards recently, he thanked the people in his life who mean the most to him: His wife and their three kids.
"I know my babies are at home watching, so I just want to say I love you guys. I can’t wait to be home to y’all in a little bit," he said from the stage.
At home, he's a champion, too —he and wife Katelyn are raising three little ones: Daughters Kingsley and Kodi, and son Krewe, and they really look up to their dad.
Kane Brown Teases Emotional Song About His Kids, "Backseat Driver"(?)
Brown took to his TikTok to tease a new song aimed at his little girls that his fans are going nuts over.
Presumably titled "Backseat Driver," there are a few things to take away from this new track.
The song itself is emotional — if you have kids, this will hit you in the center of your feelings. It describes the mundane and repetitive questions that little kids ask their parents, but it's so much deeper.
You know the ones, like, "Are we there yet?" "Why do cars have four wheels?" "Look daddy, why is that tree green?"
Let's dissect some of the lyrics to this bad boy:
"My whole world wasn't over that dash / It was back there buckled in / Saying "Daddy look there's a plane in the sky" / "Are we there yet?" / "Did you just see that dog run by?" / "Do squirrels have houses in the trees?" / "Why would God put a stinger on a honeybee?" / It's crazy all the things she sees on the side of the road / Out of that window beside her / I wish I could be more like her / My little danglin' feet, pretty in pink backseat driver"
A video Brown included to share the song teaser features snippets of his daughters.
It also has some rare behind-the-scenes footage of Brown actually recording the song, and it looks like he was able to bring his kids in for that.
Fans are commenting on the video that they want him to release the song quick.
One user writes, "Oh we are gonna need this now."
Another adds, "I need this Kane. I've been listening since love you sober and the cover days. I need this one released."
No word yet where this song will land, but right now, it has landed in our hearts.
