Don’t Miss The Motorcycle Awareness Rally In Superior Wisconsin
It's almost the time of year where we will see more and more motorcycles on the road. I was over optimistic back in March when I assumed riding season might start earlier, but at this point it really is right around the corner.
Each year there are preventable motorcycle fatalities, some the result of distracted car drivers, or people just not paying enough attention in general.
May is officially Motorcycle Awareness Month and it's not just for car and truck drivers on the road, it's also for motorcyclists. We all need to share the road and bad driving behaviors happen no matter the vehicles being driven.
Sharing the road includes responsibilities for car and truck drivers, motorcyclists, bicyclists and even pedestrians. Being aware of your surroundings, having some compassion for others on the road, and acting defensively all contribute to making sure everyone makes it home safely.
To help raise awareness of more motorcycles being on the road, for the 14th year ABATE of Wisconsin Region 6B is holding their Motorcycle Awareness Rally in Superior, WI.
On Sunday, May 21st, 2023, the event will be held in front of Campbell Lumber and Supply, located at 3107 Tower Avenue. From 1:00PM-3:00PM bring your friends and family and take a stand on the sidewalk to help alert other motorists that motorcycles are back on the road.
The event is rain or shine and you don't have to bring or even own a motorcycle to come hang out and support the cause. If you don't have the time to hang out, roll by if you can and give them some honks in support. If you need more information on the annual motorcycle awareness event, you can call 715-919-0270.
