Halloween is less than two months away, and that means the big haunted attractions around Minnesota will start opening for the season soon, including a new mega event at the state’s iconic Mall of America.

For the last couple of years, the Mall of America has featured a story-driven haunted attraction called “Onionhead’s Revenge.” That ghoulish saga appears to be buried in a grave somewhere, as a new event is taking center stage for 2025.

Introducing Twin Cities Fear Fest

Twin Cities Fear Fest is a brand-new haunted attraction from the Mall of America that’s being promoted as the ultimate Halloween destination. The official website promises that guests will encounter detailed sets, dozens of live scare actors, and cutting-edge special effects for an intense, atmospheric experience.

Fear Fest Attractions and Experiences

In addition to the main haunted houses, Twin Cities Fear Fest will feature interactive “add-on” attractions, like mini escape games and “Deadshot Alley”—an interactive shooting range where guests can fire GellyBalls at zombie actors.

Horror icon Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, will have a pop-up shop featuring curated merchandise, plus a pop-up bar serving themed cocktails.

The event kicks off on Friday, September 26, and is open select days through Sunday, November 2. Tickets will be available soon, with the option to sign up for details and secure advance tickets on the event website.
