He may be busy planning a wedding, but the hustle clearly never stops for the future Mr. Taylor Swift. Travis Kelce has officially added another title to his resume, becoming both an investor and brand ambassador for a very popular Minnesota company.

Kelce recently teamed up with Minneapolis-based Sleep Number, a move that might help fund what many assume will be an elaborate and expensive wedding. The partnership was announced in a press release that outlined Kelce’s expanded role with the company beyond traditional endorsements.

Why Minnesota's Sleep Number Chose Travis Kelce

Sleep Number is the second-largest publicly traded mattress company in the country, trailing only Tempur Sealy. According to the announcement, the company has entered into a “strategic partnership with three-time Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce” and welcomed him as its newest investor.

Kelce is described as a longtime Sleep Number customer, which makes the partnership feel more organic than your average celebrity endorsement. The company says Kelce will share his "Sleep Number journey and how its products have impacted his performance, recovery, and overall wellbeing." One has to wonder if Taylor Swift has her own preferred sleep setting as well.

A Major Investment With Minnesota Ties

The deal spans three years and will feature Kelce in national advertising campaigns, including television commercials and digital content. Beyond the marketing side, Kelce is also making a serious financial commitment. With the agreement, he becomes one of Sleep Number’s largest individual shareholders, holding just under five percent ownership.

Sleep Number has deep ties to professional football. The company has been an official partner of the NFL since 2018, serving as the league’s Official Sleep and Wellness Partner. Sleep Number claims that 83 percent of NFL players currently use one of its beds.

For a Minnesota-based company, landing one of the NFL’s biggest stars, who also happens to be part of pop culture’s most talked-about couple, is a major win. For Kelce, it is another example of how his brand continues to expand well beyond the football field.
