After just under a year of being away from MIX 108, I'm back! I'm excited to share that I'll be joining Nick on weekday mornings for the Morning Brew.

The last year has been quite the adventure, I left MIX 108 for what I thought would be a dream job at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center as an Event Programmer, basically my job was to create events for the DECC and the community.

I worked on projects big and small, and we were planning some cool stuff that, unfortunately, won't be happening now. As you may have heard in the news at the beginning of October, Dan Hartman, the Executive Director of the DECC had to eliminate some positions due to the financial situation of the DECC, and my job was one of those eliminated.

While I'm disappointed that the opportunity at the DECC didn't work out, I'm thankful for the time that I had there and the friendships made, there are some incredibly talented people working hard at the DECC to not only bring in fun concerts and events but to plan and sell conventions and expos. The DECC is important to Duluth, and I wish nothing but the best to everyone still there working to fulfill its mission.

But for every door closed, a new one opens, I am SO happy to be back with my people here at Townsquare Media, and to be back with the MIX 108 family of listeners. Nick and I will work hard every day to give you an entertaining, fun show to start your day.

Other than work drama, life is good, this summer I surprised my daughter with amazing seats to see Taylor Swift's Era Tour at US Bank Stadium, and we had an amazing time, speaking of my daughter, she entered middle school this year, and I'm not sure how I'm handing having a middle schooler, but she's doing great and becoming a fantastic young woman.

Life is good, and I couldn't be more excited to be back with my MIX 108 family and starting every day with the best listeners in the Northland. Thanks for welcoming me back and we will talk to you soon!
