The North American Bear Center in Ely, Minnesota has announced internship openings for their program in the Summer and Fall of 2023. Of course, this program is only available to students studying for careers in fields like wildlife biology, zoology, ecology, and more.

This unique opportunity will give individuals hands-on experience in feeding and caring for a trio of black bears and using that experience to educate people about these amazing animals.

The Bear Center's Biologist & Internship Director Spencer Peter said to Newsweek:

The Bear Educator internship is focused on educating our guests about bears and caring for the three live bears that we have at the center. All aspects of bear care including feeding, cleaning, data-logging, behavioral observation, enclosure maintenance, enrichment, and more are conducted by our interns.
