Spooky Shake-Up: Is Minnesota Town Losing Its Beloved Halloween Hot Spot?
I woke up in a panic last night after a nightmare made me realize that this annual Halloween tradition might not happen this year.
This is 100% true, the nightmare had me driving around endlessly searching and searching for this iconic Halloween hot spot, but it was nowhere to be found. When the nightmare came to an end and I woke up, I realized that the nightmare may be reality this year.

Spirit Halloween has been opening up seasonal stores in Duluth for several years now, in fact, over the last couple of years we've been blessed to have two locations, a larger location with costumes and all the decorations and animatronics on display, and a smaller store at the Miller Hill Mall that carried a limited selection of costumes and decorations and no animatronics.
But my nightmare scenario might happen this year because every previous location that Spirit Halloween has opened in Duluth is now occupied by another business. Five Below has taken over the Miller Hill Mall location, and the Boot Barn is now open in what was once the Bed, Bath and Beyond store and has been the home to the large Spirit Halloween location for the last few years.
Before moving to the old Bed, Bath and Beyond location, Spirit Halloween had occupied some space in the Stoneridge Shopping Center where Shopko once was and is now a large furniture store.
So my question is, where is there any room for Spirit Halloween this year? There are very limited large spaces available at the Miller Hill Mall, and no other large spaces around the mall that could be suitable for their needs, except for maybe one.
The old Camping World location on Haines Rd. in Hermantown, has more than enough space, and it's not too far from the mall and the other retail surrounding it, plus the Costco is nearby providing a steady flow of traffic, so this may be the only option for the seasonal retailer this year in the area.
I know I won't be the only one that would be devastated if there was a Halloween with no Spirit Halloween, that truly would be a nightmare!
