Section 7A Boys Hockey Semifinal Games Scheduled For Thursday In Duluth Being Postponed Due To Weather
The DECC announced that the Section 7A Boys Hockey Semifinals, scheduled for Thursday, February 23, are being postponed due to the weather.
With the impending snowstorm expected to hit Wednesday night and through the day on Thursday, the decision was made to move both games to next week.
The original schedule for the games would have seen the Hermantown Hawks taking on Hibbing/Chisholm at 5:30 pm and the Rock Ridge Wolverines playing the Duluth Denfeld Hunters at 7:30 pm on Thursday, February 23 at AMSOIL Arena in Duluth.
The makeup dates for these postponed games will be Monday, February 27. The times are currently scheduled to remain the same, with Hermantown playing Hibbing/Chisholm at 5:30 pm and Duluth Denfeld playing Rock Ridge at 7:30 pm. Both games will still be played on the ice at AMSOIL Arena.
For fans looking to attend, tickets will go on sale for the games at 3:30 pm on gameday, and doors will open at 4:30 pm, an hour ahead of the first game on Monday.
Saturday's Section 7AA games, featuring Duluth East taking on Coon Rapids at 11 am and Andover playing Grand Rapids at 1 pm at AMSOIL Arena are currently proceeding as planned.
