One of the area's most popular bands is playing at the biggest stadium in Minnesota on New Year's Eve.

The Vikings host the Packers at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday, December 31st, and during halftime, the crowd will be pumped up by Minnesota's best and biggest cover band, Hairball.

The Mysterious NYE Show

Many fans have been curious about where the popular band was playing on New Year's Eve, the band says, "THIS is an INCREDIBLE honor to have been asked to be a part of the festivities, and we are so humbled to be the ON FIELD attraction at halftime."

Hairball is known for its bombastic shows, covering artists from KISS to Prince, and they do it in their unique way with large stage effects including pyrotechnics and full costumes of the acts.

The cover band is in its 23rd year of performing with no end in sight for the party band that regularly plays shows in the area including their yearly tradition of playing Duluth's Bayfront Festival Park during the 4th of July holiday which regularly draws 10,000+ fans.

Area Show Before Vikings Game

Before hitting the stage at U.S. Bank Stadium, Hairball will be playing at Balck Bear Casino on Friday, December 15th, doors open at 6 PM and the show starts at 7 PM, tickets are $30 and available here.

Even though Hairball plays plenty of shows in Wisconsin, and they have many Green Bay Packers fans as fans of their band, make no mistake who Hairball will be cheering for on New Year's Eve, they say in the social media post announcing the show, "Being a Minneapolis-based band, we are Vikings fans to our very core, Minnesota to the bone, and we are over the Moon to be cheering our hometown team on!
