Settlements Reached, Money for Consumers!

Now, after a lengthy legal battle, they're finally settling up. And that means some extra cash in your pocket if you bought canned or pouched tuna less than 40 oz. in size between 2011 and 2015 in Minnesota or Wisconsin!

The total settlement is a whopping $152.2 million! According to the press release about the settlement, "Both StarKist and Lion deny many of the allegations and have asserted defenses to the claims."

How Much Can You Get?

While it's not exactly a lottery win, you could get around $24.50 for every 200 cans you bought. Not bad for something you probably already had in your pantry.

It's a small victory for consumers, and a reminder that even big companies can be held accountable for their actions.
