Many pop music fans in Minnesota probably had the date July 13, 2026 circled on their calendars. That was the date pop star Meghan Trainor had scheduled to perform in the Twin Cities at Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul.

As of earlier today (April 16), that Twin Cities show and the rest of Trainor's 2026 tour got cancelled.

The singer shared an Instagram story this afternoon, where she shared with her fans and followers that she had made the difficult decision to cancel her entire "Get In Girl" Tour.

Why Did Meghan Trainor Cancel Her 2026 Tour?

In her Instagram story, Trainor explained that the delicate balance of preparing to release a new album, preparing for this tour, and welcoming her new baby girl earlier this year to her growing family all got to be "more than I can take on right now", and she made the tough decision that she ultimately needs to "be home and present".

Meghan said she understands fans will be disappointed by this news, sharing that she is sorry to let them down. She ultimately calls the decision to cancel the tour "the right decision for my family and me right now", going on to promise fans that she'll be back again soon.

She concluded the message by thanking fans for their love and support and saying that she's excited to share her new album with fans, saying she is very proud of it.

Here's the full text of her Instagram story:

After a lot of reflection and some really tough conversations, I’ve made the difficult decision to cancel The Get In Girl Tour. Balancing the release of a new album, preparing for a nationwide tour, and welcoming our new baby girl to our growing family of five has just been more than I can take on right now, and I need to be home and present for each and all of them at this time.
