23 years after the release of 'The Fellowship of the Ring', the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy remains the one trilogy to rule them all, and you can see all the movies over 3-days starting this weekend.

Theatre chains across Minnesota and Wisconsin, including Marcus and AMC, will be screening the remastered 4K, extended versions of the Oscar winning films on Saturday, Sunday and Monday this weekend and next weekend at select theaters.

The three-day movie marathon starts with 'The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring' on Saturday, June 8th and 15th, 'The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers' will play on Sunday, June 9th and 16th, and you can enjoy 'The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King' on Monday, June 10th and 17th.

Keep in mind that I mentioned that these are the extended editions of the films, so expect longer run times than your average film release, for instance, the runtime for 'Return of the King' is a whopping 4 hours and 13 minutes, consider getting a large popcorn. Screening times vary between theaters, so check here for a list of theaters and show times.
