The folks at Glensheen Mansion shared the lineup for this summer's beer and music events, promising a whole lot of summer fun lakeside on the beautiful grounds at Glensheen.

If you've never attended an event like this at Glensheen, it is an absolute must you need to add to your calendar this summer. The events are free to attend and the backdrop of Lake Superior and the grounds at the Duluth mansion are unbeatable for a nice way to spend a summer night.

Things get underway with their Beer Garden events in June, with a different Twin Ports area brewery being featured throughout the month. Each Wednesday, you can come to enjoy a craft beverage or non-alcoholic drink lakeside. Entry to the grounds is free to the public to attend (beverages are for purchase, of course), going from 5 pm to 8 pm each Wednesday. There will also be a weekly "Brew Talk" with the week's featured brewer at 6:30.

Here's the lineup for their Beer Garden series:

  • June 7: Bent Paddle
  • June 14: Hoops Brewing
  • June 21: Ursa Minor Brewing
  • June 28: Castle Danger

The free Wednesday fun continues in July and August as Concerts on The Pier comes back once again. Glensheen says this is one of their most popular events of the summer, with a total of nine bands on the schedule for this year.

The lineup features some great local bands and others from around the region. Like the Beer Garden events, the Concerts on the Pier run from 5 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday nights. The event is free, with food and beverages available for purchase. Food trucks will be on-site, with other treats like ice cream from Love Creamery or some alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages also available.

2023 Concerts on the Pier Lineup

If you're planning on watching, try to get there early to get the best spot. Bring a chair or blanket to watch from the shore, or you can paddle or boat up to the pier on Lake Superior, too! If you plan on watching from the water, Glensheen does note that you cannot launch watercraft (including kayaks) from the property. You'll need to get in the water elsewhere to head on over to the pier.

Speaking of lakeside recreation, here's an incredible vacation rental right along the shore of Lake Superior just over two miles away along the shore in Duluth.
