This is not very Minnesota nice.

While spending an extended amount of time in Minnesota, the trusty vehicle of famous storm chaser Reed Timmer was the target of someone trying to break into it.

Timmer and his team have been in Minnesota quite a bit recently, with tornadoic severe weather in the state over the last number of days that included tornadoes and powerful severe thunderstorms sweeping through the region, including one that devastated Bemidji at the end of last week.

Here's one of the videos Timmer and his team captured in Northern Minnesota recently.

Reed and his team have been hanging around Minnesota since that round of storms, enjoying a little time on the water, pontooning Northern Minnesota before their next chase.

Reed and company then spent some time in the Twin Cities before their next round of storm chasing this week, with the threat of more storms in places like Albert Lea and Rochester in Southern Minnesota and in places in Northern Iowa.

While in the Twin Cities, they reported on social media on Wednesday afternoon that their famous armored, custom-built storm chasing vehicle, "The Dominator 3," was the victim of a would-be intruder.

While in Downtown Minneapolis, someone apparently tried to break into Dominator 3, breaking off the door latch of the front passenger side DeLorean-style door on the vehicle. While they broke the door latch, they apparently didn't know how to open the door, so they weren't able to get inside.

I can't say it's a huge surprise that an armored car designed to withstand tornadoes and dangerously fast flying debris managed to withstand some thief on the streets of Minneapolis.

The gear inside remained safe, and the team seemed to have enjoyed a little chuckle over the failed attempt to break in before they headed on their way south for their next chase.
