The 2023 Minnesota State Fair will not disappoint anyone looking for a new food or drink to try. Along with 34 new food items and 7 new vendors, this year's Great Minnesota Get-Together will feature a grand total of 65 brand-new adult beverages that will make their debut.

Among the list of 65 beverages, there is a handful from Duluth and Two Harbors, which is a departure from the vast majority of the remainder of this year's new drinks, which are from the Twin Cities area.

These 65 new brews and other libations will be joined by 39 returning beverages that you can get nowhere else besides the Minnesota State Fair. That's over 100 exclusive beverages that are part of the 300+ total brews and beverages you can indulge in over the 12 days of this year's fair.

Of the new varieties, three of them are from Northland companies. A total of 5 drinks from the Northland will be represented at this year's fair. Here they are:

Northern Minnesota Adult Beverages Making Their Debut At The 2023 Minnesota State Fair

  • Apple Pie Cider (Wild State Cider - Duluth, MN)
    1. Find it at O’Gara’s at the Fair, located on the southwest corner of Dan Patch Avenue and Cosgrove Street
    2. 5.8% ABV
    3. Here's how they describe it: This cider is lightly spiced and made with fresh apple juice, cinnamon, nutmeg and other spices. Surely an early taste of the fall season.
  • Blood Orange Cream Ale (Castle Danger Brewing - Two Harbors, MN)
    1. Find it at O’Gara’s at the Fair, located on the southwest corner of Dan Patch Avenue and Cosgrove Street
    2. 5.5% ABV
    3. Here's how they describe it: The zesty tang of blood oranges combines with the smooth characteristics of Castle Cream Ale.
  • Superior Shiver Cold IPA (Bent Paddle Brewing Co. - Duluth, MN)
    1. Find it at Ball Park Cafe, located on the east side of Underwood Street between Dan Patch and Carnes avenues, outside The Garden
    2. 6% ABV
    3. Here's how they describe it: A cold IPA that embodies the true spirit of Minnesotans: approachable and accessible with a complexity that is both refreshing and surprising.

Northern Minnesota Adult Beverages Returning To The 2023 Minnesota State Fair

  • Dill Pickle Kölsch (Blacklist Brewing Company - Duluth, MN)
    • Find it at Giggles’ Campfire Grill, located at southeast corner of Lee Avenue and Cooper Street, at The North Woods
    • 4.7% ABV
    • Here's how they describe it: Infused with fresh dill and cucumber, this brew is garnished with a dill pickle and a cube of Havarti dill cheese.
  • Summer Luvin’ Orange IPA (Bent Paddle Brewing Co. - Duluth, MN)
    • Find it at Andy’s Grille, located on the south side of Carnes Avenue between Liggett and Nelson streets
    • 6.2% ABV. 68 IBUs
    • Here's how they describe it: Combining Bent Paddle’s flagship Bent Hop Golden IPA with a burst of orange and tangerine infusion, as well as highlighting the hop build, makes this a perfect beer for summer days and summer nights. Each glass is rimmed and garnished with sweet orange candy.
