After Record Breaking Start Minnesota State Fair Attendance Falls Short
I predicted that this year's Minnesota State Fair would be a record-breaking year, I even went so far to say that every day would break a record, well one of those predictions is now not possible.
The Minnesota State Fair got off to a record-breaking start, with both Thursday and Friday setting new attendance records.
138,875 people visited the fair on opening day, breaking the previous record set in 2019 by just over 5000 people, Friday was another record-breaker, with 171,233 people, breaking the previous record by nearly 7000, but the streak did not continue into the weekend.

Saturday's attendance number was the biggest of this year's fair, but it fell WAY short of a record-breaking day.
The previous record for the first Saturday of the Minnesota State Fair was 222,194, which was set in 2018, even last year was significantly more crowded with 212,850 people, this year the attendance was 184,564, breaking the record-breaking streak.
If you're keeping track, to break the all-time attendance record, set back in 2019, at least 2,126,552 people would need to enter the gates during the twelve days of the Minnesota State Fair.
Weather plays a HUGE factor in attendance for the Minnesota State Fair, and it looks like, after another scorching hot day in the Twin Cities today, the weather should be ideal for attending the fair.
So there's still a very good chance that we could break the record.
