Is All-Day Breakfast Coming Back To Duluth – Superior Area McDonalds Locations?

It's viral and it hit a lot of Mcdonalds breakfast fans on all the right notes.  A message that the breakfast menu at the fast food restaurant was going to be available (again) all day long hit social media and took off like wild fire.

A little back story: Introduced as a morning-only option in the early 1980's, McDonalds breakfast items became so popular that the chain buckled to the volume of requests it got - and started offering breakfast all day long in 2015.  Customers were able to order items like the McMuffin or hashbrowns alongside Quarter Pounders and Mig Macs no matter what time of day they visited the restaurant.

That all changed in 2020. Like a lot of other things during the peak of the pandemic, McDonalds stopped offering all-day breakfast due to a variety of factors - including efficiency, shortages, and efficiency.

But back to the social media posts from earlier this week.  It gave customers hope.  The Tweets even suggested that McDonalds would be "Serving all-day breakfast starting October 6" - which didn't seem that far off.

Except, the year was all wrong.

It turns out that the shared message was from 2015 - and was tied to the initial roll-out introduction of the all-day breakfast menu for the chain. So to clarify - no, all-day breakfast is not returning to McDonalds and the company has no immediate plans to bring it back. (Can you hear the collective sigh from hashbrown and McMuffin lovers?)
