I-35/Hwy 2 Ramp To Close For Repairs October 3

Even as the road construction season starts to wrap up for the year, a variety of projects remain. One of those involves some repair work to a ramp from I-35 to Highway 2 at the Bong Bridge.

Officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation are alerting drivers that the ramp from southbound I-35 to eastbound Highway 2 at the Bong Bridge will close for the day on Thursday, October 3 - from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  The temporary closure is necessary in order to allow crews with the Minnesota Department of Transportation a chance to perform some preventative maintenance on the ramp.

During the closure, a signed detour will be in place to help drivers navigate their way around the work project.  MNDOT urges motorists to allow extra time for travel if they have to use that route, be patient, and - as always - drive safely in work zone areas.
