Drivers who use I-35 through Pine County will encounter some single lane closures in each direction starting Monday, August 5.  Work crews with the Minnesota Department of Transportation will embark upon a month and a half-long project to repaint the Highway 48 Bridge over I-35.  That work will result in the lane closures.

For the first part of the project, the right-hand lanes will be closed to drivers.  Somewhere around August 18, the work will switch to the left-hand lanes, resulting in single lane closures on that side.

At this point, MNDOT officials anticipate the the work will be totally completed by September 13 - barring any unforeseen complications or a lengthy stretch of in-climate weather.  As with any project, timelines sometimes need to be adjusted.
