Hermantown’s Chalet Lounge Says Goodbye, Announces Final Party

Wow, this was a shocker to read. The Chalet Lounge has been a staple for longer than most of us have been alive! Sadly, the Chalet announced to their loyal customers that they are going to be closing the business.

Highway 53 won't look the same anymore without the Chalet in front of Menards in Hermantown. I remember driving by it as a kid in the car, that's how long it's been around. It's been a favorite for food, breakfasts, and a place where you can do your laundry while having a drink.

Seriously, what a fantastic idea. A bar with a laundromat. I wonder how many people used doing laundry as an excuse for getting a drink over the years. Brilliant!

Chalet Announces They Are Closing

In a Facebook post on November 14, 2024, they announced that they will be closing the business. The owners shared the news with a heavy heart that they will be closing.

It takes a village to raise kids.. well try owning/running a bar/restaurant.. it's definitely not something for the week. We especially love all our customers/regulars that com in every day hand have become a family.

They said their grandparents made this place their dream and they appreciate everyone who has supported them and helped them get this far.

Chalet Lounge Last Day - December 31st, 2024

The Chalet confirms their last day will be December 31st, 2024. To celebrate and "Go out with a BANG!", they'll be throwing a New Year's Eve Party. It's the last chance to make memories at one of the Twin Ports longest running establishments.

Open For Business Until Then

The chalet wants their customers to know that they will be open until their last day. They ask that you make reservations for groups over 6.
