Unless you've been hiding under a rock, you likely heard that the one and only Garth Brooks is set to play in Minneapolis next year. He dropped the big news and even called up The Breakfast Club recently to discuss how excited he was to return to Minnesota.

Tickets to the show went on sale Friday and they sold out pretty much instantly - in less than an hour to be exact. In fact, they sold out so fast that the country music giant has added another show the day prior.

That's right - you can catch Brooks playing the Minneapolis arena on May 3rd AND May 4th, the initial concert date.

Demand to see the show was so high that many that wanted tickets couldn't score them! The good news it that tickets for the newly-added show go on sale Thursday (December 20th) and we have some tips to help you avoid this scenario this time around.

Once you checked that box, read up on these four tips to help you successfully snag tickets to the show:

  • Tip 1: Call Ticketmaster at 1-866-448-7849 instead of using the internet. You can purchase your tickets by phone.
  • Tip 2: Make sure all of your information is correct on your Ticketmaster account. Even if you've purchased tickets recently, it can't hurt to make sure all the info you entered is up to date. This includes your credit card account, name, address, etc.
  • Tip 3: Don't get too picky with your seats. We would all LOVE to be seated front row at the show but Brooks' team assures that he will be playing in a round-stage style set-up. This means everyone will be able to see him play and he will play to everyone. Trying to get certain seats will really take a hit on your chances.
  • Tip 4: The "waiting room" for tickets to the show opens at 9 a.m. sharp come Thursday morning. Do not wait until that time to log in and get everything situated. Have everything you need handy a few minutes before so when it opens you can be prepared. (The waiting room can be found at Ticketmaster.com/GarthBrooks.)

Good luck!!
