Do you love all things scary and have some free time on your hands? If so, we have just the thing for you!

The Haunted Ridge is on for this year and seeking volunteers to help put the event on as usual. Event organizers are looking for volunteers for acting and taking part in the haunt, support staff, security parking, ticket takers, hay ride helpers and more.

If you are interested in volunteering, there are a few upcoming dates where you can do so:

  • Sunday, September 20th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, September 24th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, September 26th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Sunday, September 27th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The sign-ups will take place at the site of the haunt in Carlton. The exact address is 1781 Country Road 1. If you have any questions regarding this volunteer opportunity, you can reach out to event organizers at 218-391-9546 or on their Facebook page here.

In August, the popular haunted attraction announced that they would indeed be open this year despite the pandemic. They announced new COVID-19 policies at that time, including a mask requirement, social distancing and temperature checks prior to arriving at the event.

If you are looking for other ways to get into the Halloween spirit during these strange times, there are a few other events you can take part in, including the North End Nightmare race. It takes place in Superior, Wisconsin at the end of October and features a two-mile track filled with ghosts and ghouls and monsters. It is awesome!
