The best time of year is here! Halloween season is just days away and all the best haunted attractions in the Northland are gearing up to spook us. This includes Hellwig Hollow, a scary-good attraction in Canyon, Minnesota.

The haunt kicks off on Friday, October 6th at 7 p.m. The attraction is completely outdoors so make sure you dress accordingly and wear the right shoes. The haunt will take place every Friday and Saturday from opening night at 7 p.m. The last ticket is sold at 10:45 p.m. so make sure you plan ahead.

Because the attraction is so fun, the lines get long. The haunt is for ages thirteen and up and anyone sixteen and younger must be accompanied by an adult. It takes just under an hour to get through - unless you chicken out before you get to the end! It's located at 7480 Harris Road.

You can park at the Dawghouse Bar & Grill and shuttle the haunt. Tickets are twenty bucks and for any questions, you can call 218-730-7597. You can get all other necessary information on their website.

I should mention that the weekend of October 13th and 14th will be extra spooky as Freddy and Jason summon their "friends" for an extra scary night of terror. Yikes!

If you want to get in the Halloween spirit even more, there is the 18th Annual Pumpkin Run & Walk 5K in Cloquet later in October. There are a bunch of different options for you to take part. There aren't any monsters coming for you, though. (If you want there to be, check out the North End Nightmare in Superior!)
