While I was driving along Central Entrance recently, I noticed something I really hadn't noticed before - a new Starbucks location!

I had heard rumors that one was going up near the new development by Cub Foods but I guess I didn't believe it until I saw the new signage pop up as of late. It's situated nicely on the corner of Central Entrance and Myrtle Avenue.

The first thing that popped into my head was the other Starbucks location down the street, directly across from Miller Hill Mall. While I love the drinks, I can't say I am a huge fan of this spot. The parking lot seems like a death trap at times (and one that I brave very often).

After some research, I learned that this unfortunately-situated Starbucks will be up and moving to the new location I mentioned. The Development Tracker of Duluth says the location directly across from the Miller Hill Mall will indeed be moving down the block to the new development.

This makes a lot of sense. Not only does the new location have a drive-thru but it also has outdoor seating and a way better parking lot.

The new Starbucks will have 55 parking spaces, according to TDT Duluth. The current Starbucks location has an incredibly small parking lot that requires a lot of backing up and sometimes, waiting for someone to leave.

The new coffee chain will occupy about 2,000 square feet.

There is no word on just when the move will be made but between this new Starbucks and the new Caribou Coffee going in on Central Entrance, we will all be well-caffeinated.
