I'm 41 years old. I've been to Menards a million times as a homeowner in the last 15 years. Yesterday was the first time I ever went to the second floor at my local Menards. To be completely honest, I didn't even know it existed.

I've been in and out of Menards in Superior, Wisconsin a lot lately. The 11% rebate ends tomorrow, so we've been trying to buy as much stuff we need for our basement remodel to take advantage.

I've never had the need to go upstairs because everything I needed was on the main floor until now. It wasn't until we needed to find pocket doors that I noticed a sign that said located upstairs.

In all my trips to Menards, I never saw anyone walking across the walkway above the Window & Door Section. It turns out the upstairs of Menards is massive, extending the whole length of the store on the backside

. It also connects to the area above the Christmas and seasonal section.

It appears Menards uses it mostly for "out of season" merchandise. You can see it written on the top shelf here.

There are also loading bays upstairs, which I found very interesting.

You might just find some helpful Menard's workers enjoying their break!

I always wondered what they did with the summer grilling stuff. It turns out that too is stored upstairs, along with a ton of Christmas trees.

This was right above the holiday "Enchanted Forest" at Menards.

So, next time you're saving big money at Menards, head up the stairs and take a look around. It's kind of neat!
