Duluth Haunted Attraction Gets National Recognition
This is INCREDIBLE! A famous haunted attraction right here in Duluth just got national recognition - and it is well-deserved.

This is epic. The Haunted Ship was just named one of the scariest haunted attractions in the entire world by Forbes Magazine.
To make this great accomplishment even greater, the list was made up of only seven attractions, meaning they really narrowed down the list to find the best of the best.
Their list was released on Wednesday (October 23rd) just in time for Halloween weekend. This is the only attraction in Minnesota or Wisconsin to be recognized. Wow!
The article mentions some history behind the haunt and the fact that the William A. Irvin is also famously haunted by real ghosts, not just the kind that jump out at you on the Haunted Ship. Ha!

They mention that a sailor died aboard the ship in 1964 and cite all of the different times paranormal investigators have tried to talk to said ghosts. According to their report, shadows and footsteps have been seen and heard aboard the ship.
Not only that, the report says some workers have reported things being thrown at them while doing maintenance work. See? Having a spooky haunt aboard a real haunted ship just hits different in the best way.
What else did Forbes have to say about the Haunted Ship? Paranormal spooks aside, Forbes says:
On the Duluth Haunted Ship, scare actors orchestrate jump scares at sea and aboard the 700-foot vintage ore boat called the S.S. William A. Irvin. In order to work on the ship, the actors must graduate from “scare school.”
I went on the Haunted Ship during opening weekend and I loved it! It is always fun to be on a haunted attraction that's actually in Lake Superior. Where else can you do that sort of thing? I also love the attention to detail.

Other haunted attractions that made the list are found in Florida, Denver and New Zealand. It's time to do some haunted Halloween travel!
