Gordy’s Hi-Hat Announces Closing Date For The 2020 Season
Say it ain't so! It seems the time has already come for Gordy's Hi-Hat to start closing up shop.
The popular restaurant, located in Cloquet, has announced their closing date for the 2020 season. The last day of the season will be Sunday, September 27th.
They shared the news on their Facebook page, writing the following:
We have had so much fun serving our customers this season, but colder weather is fast approaching! We hope to see you a few more times before then. Thank you for letting us be a part of your summer.
Sad! This was the restaurant's 60th season and it was definitely a busy one. We also appreciated the tasty food more after they suffered a delayed opening due to COVID-19 coronavirus. In case you didn't know, Gordy's Hi-Hat is only open for a short period every year. They usually open in the spring and shut their doors again when fall approaches. Even though they aren't officially closed just yet, we are already counting down the days until they open again in 2021. Ha!
In the meantime, we may be able to catch the crew and their tasty food on television! In late July, the crew at Gordy's Hi-Hat shared some exciting news on their Facebook page: they were going to be featured on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives once again! They apologized to customers for having to close for a short period while they filmed a segment for the Food Network hit. There is no word on when the episode will be airing but hopefully it is sometime soon!
Gordy's Hi-Hat is located at 415 Sunnyside Drive in Cloquet. They are known for their delicious cheeseburgers, onion rings and shakes.
