When the price of gas jumps like it has in the last week you tend to wonder what's the reason behind it.   It turns out that our 15-20 cent jump per gallon of gas could have to do with the Canadian Wildfires.

It turns out that the wildfires that have been taking place in Canada the last few weeks have actually caused disruptions in the oil industry, causing work camps to be evacuated near Alberta Canada.  According to Reuters, 4,000 workers had to flee to safety.

Also, summer travel is expected to increase on Memorial Day Weekend, which always brings an increase.  But hey, at least we are still well under $3 a gallon.
