Free Youth + Adult Cloth Masks Available Thursday in Lincoln Park
With the mandatory mask ordinance in place, it's important for everyone to find a proper face covering. If you haven't secured one, you may want to travel to Lincoln Park Thursday.
The City of Duluth made the following announcement on their Facebook page:
Mask up to help slow the spread of COVID-19! Get FREE youth and adult cloth masks this Thursday, August 6 from 3 – 6 p.m. at the Lincoln Park Farmers Market at the Harrison Community Center.
Thanks to the Duluth Branch NAACP and to all who have made and donated masks as a part of this effort. #MaskUpMN
The Harrison Community Center is located at 3002 West 3rd Street in Duluth. While you pick up your free mask, you can also enjoy the Lincoln Park Farmers Market.
They promise a variety of vendors "offering everything from fresh produce to bread and baked goods to value-added goodies such as kim chi and jams."
Another great reason to check out the farmers market is they offer a $15 EBT match, which doubles the the purchasing power of anyone using SNAP benefits. There is also a free kids program known as the Power of Produce Club, offering $4 each market for any children and youth 18 years old or under to be spent on fresh fruits or veggies.
The Lincoln Park Farmers Market is held at the Harrison Community Center every Thursday from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. through October 1. However, August 6 is currently the only day to get a free cloth mask for family members.
